SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT HIGH PERFORMANCE HUNTING SUPPRESSOR
The A-TEC Optima 40 is engineered to be exceptionally lightweight and petite. Beautifully designed to fit the lines of high-end rifles when the hunter enjoys it's svelte aesthetic and does not want it spoiled by a bulky muzzle device. Precise narrow bodied 39.4mm diameter does not distract from an attractively styled rifle. Thanks to intelligent baffle design and material selection, it provides excellent noise reduction and durable longevity.
Intended Use
Extremely lightweight design ideal for alpine hunting with standard energy calibres up to approx. 270Winchester capacity. This suppressor is intended for hunting situations where shot strings are a few shots at a time and the temperature of the unit is kept under control. Combined with its optional brake endcap it can provide exceptional recoil and muzzle flip reduction, ideal for shooting from steep awkward positions in the mountains.
Design Features
- Stainless steel boss section and finely machined stainless steel baffle core provides remarkable durability for such a light weight design. Super lightweight aluminium alloy body completes an extremely light weight and petite suppressor.
- The suppressor features a built-in first stage stainless steel muzzle brake which traps gas for recoil reduction and eliminates excessive erosion of the alloy components.
- This unit is designed for any calibre up to 270Winchester capacity, pressure and heat. In its weight class it shines for noise and recoil reduction.
- Modular design makes it possible to subtract or add a module to choose your desired length&weight to noise reduction ratio.
- Removing a module decreases the noise reduction effect by 3-5dB; depending on the calibre and barrel length.
- This product makes use of our A-Lock thread adaptor system. Any thread is supported.
- See link below to add an A-Lock to your order, it is not included.
- The A-Lock can be affixed to your rifle muzzle allowing quick attach/detach of the suppressor. It also provides the ability to use the same suppressor across multiple rifles all with different threads (an A-Lock for each muzzle is required for this and with calibres up to that of the suppressor).
- The A-Lock can instead be locked into the suppressor and the unit attached and detached like legacy suppressors (we prefer to do this for you by special request to ensure it is correct before use).
- This suppressor can accept our optional Brake Endcap.
-
See link below to add the Brake Endcap to your order, it is not included.
- The images show the suppressor with it attached at various lengths for comparison purposes.
- The Brake Endcap significantly reduces recoil and even more significantly straightens out muzzle flip so that you can keep the target in sight through the recoil pulse. The effect is quite phenomenal.
- The Brake Endcap increases noise by 1-2dB depending on factors such as the number of suppressor modules fitted, calibre and barrel length.
-
See link below to add the Brake Endcap to your order, it is not included.
- Overbarrel(reflex) design with free-floating overbarrel section specifically designed not to affect barrel harmonics.
- Important note on reduction performance: Unique to A-Tec, our suppressors are tested to the latest MIL-STD-1474D military standard which is the most stringent and difficult standard to test to. Research shows our competitors do not test to this standard. For comparing to competitors products we prefer to let our reputation do the talking but you will observe our suppressors performing 5-10% better for a stated dB and significantly better for dB reduction vs weight & length.
- A-Tec have only one grade of precision: Match Grade. A-Tec suppressors are second to none for concentricity, straightness and fine dimensional tolerances. This is especially evident in our bore apertures which are tight to the projectile to maximise sound reductive effect. To get peak performance from an A-Tec suppressor, one's rifle muzzle must be correctly crowned, threaded and shouldered.

A-Lock Adaptor detailed design
It's a revolution in how you think about attaching your suppressor.
This unit can be used in two ways:
-
Adaptor locked on to the muzzle thread
- This allows the Optima and H2 suppressor to be quick attached and detached in a second with a forceful 1/4 turn.
- This allows a single suppressor to be shared amongst multiple rifles all with different threads. In this case the calibre of the suppressor must be equal or greater than the largest calibre rifle.
- This means the adaptor is on the end of the muzzle, maybe affecting it's aesthetic if it is a thin barrel
-
Adaptor locked inside the suppressor
- This allows the suppressor to be attached using muzzle threads like legacy suppressors.
- When the suppressor is removed, nothing is left on the barrel.
- We prefer to do this for you to ensure quality.
