The A-TEC PRS variants of suppressors are specifically built for precision match shooting. When round counts are high you want noise suppression to aid in maintaining focus and reducing fatigue. Conversely, when calling your own shots whilst shooting off improvised positions you want to see your own trace and impact; so you can correct fast and beat the clock. In the past, with legacy muzzle brakes, these have been two mutually exclusive outcomes. Why not have both? The A-Tec PRS suppressors combine a suppressor and muzzle brake into a single durable, precise and effective package.
Intended Use
High round count, high heat shooting that is usually conducted in serious competitive matches and also pest destruction. These units use durable materials to priortise longevity and precision over lightweight. Suitable for any match calibre up to and including 338LM. Select your desired balance of suppression vs recoil reduction by choosing between the PRS 1 Mod, 2 Mod or 3 Mod.
Design Features
- Stainless steel throughout the suppressor and thread adaptor to provide durability and longevity.
- Tough Cerakote surface finish to handle high temperature shooting and wear & tear.
- These units perform remarkably well with modern PRS and Long Range calibres such as 6Dasher, 6.5PRC, 300PRC and even 338LM.
- Hybrid design combing the benefits of both a suppressor and a legacy muzzle brake:
- Vastly dampened shock wave compared to legacy muzzle brakes due to its first stage suppression.
- Recoil and muzzle flip controlled with the brake stage which captures the escaping gas to brake the rifles recoil. It makes the recoil pulse vastly reduced compared to a conventional suppressor and keeps the recoil extremely straight. This keeps your cross hairs on target during the bullet flight so you can see your own impact and adjust.

- Conventional screw-on interface with the included thread adaptor:
- Many threads are supported and in stock.
- Wide thread shoulder suitable for snugging securely against heavy weight match barrels for high precision and repeatability.
- Not modular, it is fixed length. Select your desired balance of suppression vs recoil reduction by choosing between the PRS 1 Mod, 2 Mod or 3 Mod.
- We seal the thread adaptor into position before dispatch and it is very difficult to ever remove again without damage to the product. It is not intended that the user would swap the thread adaptor to another thread.
- Important note on reduction performance: Unique to A-Tec, our suppressors are tested to the latest MIL-STD-1474D military standard which is the most stringent and difficult standard to test to. Research shows our competitors do not test to this standard. For comparing to competitors products we prefer to let our reputation do the talking but you will observe our suppressors performing 5-10% better for a stated dB and significantly better for dB reduction vs. weight & length.
- A-Tec have only one grade of precision: Match Grade. A-Tec suppressors are second to none for concentricity, straightness and fine dimensional tolerances. This is especially evident in our bore apertures which are tight to the projectile to maximise sound reductive effect. To get peak performance from an A-Tec suppressor, one's rifle muzzle must be correctly crowned, threaded and shouldered.
